Alerts For Bangladesh

The warning already exists. It just doesn't reach the people who need it.

How it works

  1. 01

    Source

Pulls continuously from government warnings, professional news, and community-submitted reports across the country — in Bengali and English.

  2. 02

    Verify

Cross-checks every report against independent sources before anything goes out. An anonymous community report only reaches anyone once independent reports agree.

  3. 03

    Alert

Works out what kind of event it is, how severe, how urgent, and exactly where — turning what's confirmed into a structured alert, not just a headline.

  4. 04

    Reach

Sends browser notifications to people in the affected area. SMS and WhatsApp delivery are coming soon.

From the team

Why we're building this

Official agencies warn about weather and floods. Price spikes, blocked roads and neighborhood safety concerns often travel only by word of mouth.

Ki Hocche connects official information and local reports to the people they affect. Our priority is simple: getting the warning to someone in time.

Trust model

Trust matched to how much scrutiny it's earned

False alarms and misuse have real costs. Every source earns its trust level here — nothing gets a free pass.

Trusted

Official & press

Government warnings and professional reporting are trusted directly.

Pending

Community reports

Anonymous reports need independent agreement before reaching anyone. These matter most precisely when there's no formal channel yet.

Our commitments

What we're committing to before you trust us with your location

Alerts are free, always

No paywall on hazard information. Ever.

Your location is never sold

Used only to match alerts to where you are. Your device's position is never stored: only the upazila it falls in is kept, and it is cleared after 90 days without you opening the app, under the consent rules in Bangladesh's Personal Data Protection Act 2026.

Wrong alerts get corrected

A retracted alert triggers an explicit correction to everyone who received the original. No silent removals.
